I'm Grateful

from Slide Don't Fret by Bryn Haworth

lyrics

I’m thankful, I’m grateful
For every day I have to live
I don’t want to take for granted
The many ways you give

When I wake up in the morning
With my baby by my side
I can’t help thinking to myself
It’s good to be alive.
When I look out of my window
The weather’s cold the skies are grey
But there’s something in my heart
That says “it’s a sunny day”

Well my body gets so tired
Of living with the aches and pains
But I’ve got myself a deal where
This one will be exchanged.
I’m thankful, I’m grateful
I’ve only got one life to live
When I die I’m going to heaven
And I won’t be back again.

I guess things always could be better
But then again they could be worse
Meanwhile I got the greatest love
In all theuniverse.
It’s my intention to be thankful
Even when I’m old and grey
I want to leave this world of trouble
With a smile upon my face
