Think For Yourself

lyrics

So much of what is said is never questioned
Most of it just slips by
And what is assumed is taken for granted;
Is what you believe a lie?
We push out our lives like boats on the water
And wait for the wind to blow;
We pin all our hopes on who shouts the loudest thinking that they must know.
But do you know what you think
Have you thought it for yourself
Are you sure that it's true
Did you hear it from someone else?
Think for yourself, ‘cos God gave a mind to you
Think for yourself, and don't let your friends do the thinking for you
Think.
Billions of dollars are spent on conjecture
While millions of people die.
And how come that modern man with all his learning
Still can't create new life?
Do you know where you're going
Have you thought where you come from,
Are you just an accident
Or are you part of a plan?
Think for yourself, ‘cos God gave a mind to you,
Think for yourself, and don't let your friends do the thinking for you.
Think.
The Word says that Jesus asked his disciples
"Who do men say I am?
Some people think that I am just a good man,
But who do you say I am?"
Do you know what you think
Have you thought it for yourself
Are you sure that it's true
Did you hear it from someone else?
think for yourself..............
